Day 18
Rishikesh – Guptkashi

Distance: 180 km | Driving Time: Approximately 6 Hours
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Rishikesh, visiting its most iconic spiritual landmarks.

Lakshman Jhula
Visit the famous suspension bridge built across the sacred River Ganga. According to Hindu mythology, this is the place where Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama, crossed the river using a jute rope bridge. The bridge offers spectacular views of the river, surrounding hills, temples, and bustling ashrams.

Ram Jhula
Continue to the equally famous Ram Jhula, another suspension bridge connecting Sivananda Ashram and Swarg Ashram. The bridge is an important landmark of Rishikesh and offers panoramic views of the holy Ganga and the spiritual atmosphere of the town.

Geeta Bhavan
Visit the renowned Geeta Bhavan, famous for its beautiful murals, sculptures, and depictions of scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata. The ashram is an important spiritual centre for pilgrims visiting Rishikesh.

Later, drive through the scenic Himalayan valleys to Guptkashi, a picturesque town located in the Garhwal Himalayas and an important halt for pilgrims undertaking the sacred Kedarnath Yatra.

Day 19
Guptkashi – Kedarnath (Trek to the 12th Jyotirlinga)

Road Distance: Guptkashi – Sonprayag: 35 km
Trek: Gaurikund – Kedarnath: Approximately 16–18 km

Doli (Palanquin): INR 4,000–6,000 per person

Early in the morning, drive to Sonprayag, the final point accessible by private vehicles. From here, board the local shuttle service to Gaurikund, the starting point of the sacred trek to Kedarnath. Your driver will assist you in arranging the local transportation.
From Gaurikund, begin the sacred trek through the breathtaking Himalayan landscape to Kedarnath, one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and the 12th Jyotirlinga. The trek takes approximately 6–8 hours, depending on individual pace and weather conditions. Pony and Doli services are available at an additional cost for those requiring assistance.

Standing at an altitude of 3,584 metres, the magnificent Kedarnath Temple is believed to have been originally built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Guru Shankaracharya during the 8th century. Surrounded by snow-clad Himalayan peaks, the temple has remained one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations for over a thousand years.

The temple houses the unique conical-shaped Jyotirlinga, symbolizing Lord Shiva in his divine form. Outside the temple stands the majestic Nandi, Lord Shiva's sacred bull, welcoming devotees from around the world.
You may also visit the nearby Bhairavnath Temple, located approximately 500 metres above Kedarnath. According to tradition, Lord Bhairavnath protects the Kedarnath shrine during the winter months when the temple remains closed due to heavy snowfall.

Recite the sacred Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, seeking Lord Shiva's blessings for health, peace, protection, and spiritual liberation.

Meaning:

Kedarnath – Guptkashi

Trek: Kedarnath – Gaurikund: Approximately 16–18 km
 Road Distance: Sonprayag – Guptkashi: 34 km

Early in the morning, attend the sacred Kedarnath Temple Darshan and spend some peaceful moments in prayer amidst the serene Himalayan surroundings.
After darshan, begin the return trek to Gaurikund. Pony or Doli services may be hired at an additional cost, if required.

Upon reaching Sonprayag, meet your driver and proceed to Guptkashi.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after this unforgettable spiritual journey.

Guptkashi – Haridwar

Distance: 200 km | Driving Time: Approximately 5½ Hours
After breakfast, drive to the sacred city of Haridwar, one of the seven holiest cities (Sapta Puri) in Hinduism and an important gateway to the Char Dham pilgrimage.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

Later, visit the revered Mansa Devi Temple, situated atop the Bilwa Hills. Dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi, the temple is believed to fulfill the sincere wishes of devotees who offer prayers with faith and devotion.
In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, one of India's most sacred and spiritually uplifting ceremonies. As priests perform synchronized rituals with illuminated lamps, devotional chants, and ringing temple bells, the banks of the holy Ganga come alive with an atmosphere of divine devotion. Har Ki Pauri, also known as Brahmakund, is believed to be the spot where drops of the celestial nectar (Amrit) fell during the legendary Samudra Manthan, making it one of Hinduism's holiest bathing ghats.

Haridwar – Delhi (220 Kms / Approx. 5 Hours)

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to the International Airport to board your onward flight back home.
